The Perth Mint is proud to present the Australian Kangaroo gilded in 24-carat gold.
99.99% Pure Silver
Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver.
2016 Kangaroo Design
The coin's reverse depicts a bounding red kangaroo gilded in 24-carat gold, surrounded by stylised rays of sunlight. The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and the 2016 year-date.
Australian Legal Tender
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination on its obverse.
Limited Mintage
The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of the 2016 Australian Kangaroo 1oz Silver Gilded Edition.
Presentation Packaging and Numbered Certificate
Each coin is housed in a classic Perth Mint display case with a themed shipper and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Please note: Incorrect case has been displayed in the August Bulletin. Once purchased customers are to receive standard black casing without the Perth Mint logo.
