Perth ANDA – Narrows Bridge $1 Silver Frunc

The Royal Australian Mint has produced 4 specially made coins for the 2011 Australasian Numismatic Dealers Association Show. This exclusive series, Capital Bridges, will depict an iconic bridge from each hosting state.

The first coin in the series will feature the Narrows Bridge in Perth. Uniting Perth’s north and south, the Narrows Bridge was the largest precast, prestressed concrete bridge when built in 1959. Originally a six-lane road bridge, it now carries twelve lanes and the Southern Suburbs railway line.
